Abby Ehrig, Dance Instructor

(13 Years Dancing)

Abby’s first dance recital was in 2014 and she did a tap routine to “Lollipop”. She is currently entering her 13th year of dancing and has been a teacher since graduating her training in 2024.

Abby is currently a senior at Lehighton Area High School. She is a member of National Honors Society, and is a Media/Creative Director for National Art Honors Society. She is also apart of her high school’s marching, concert, and jazz band, as well as county band and district band where she plays clarinet and piano. Abby enjoys performing with Zion Opera Workshop and volunteering at Zion Opera Workshop Jr.. She also just recently choreographed the Lehighton Area Middle School’s musical this past spring.

In her little free time, Abby loves doing anything music-related and spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. She enjoys working with kids and volunteering at different programs. After high school, Abby plans to further her education at Kutztown University to major in Elementary Education.

Abby’s favorite style of dance is tap, but she has grown to love ballet almost just as much. She is currently a part of our Sr. Tap Team, “The Entertainers” and will be joining our Sr. Ballet Team, “Grace” for her senior year. Her favorite routine over the years has been Lucifer in 2023. While it was not primarily a tap routine, it challenged her abilities and pushed her to grow into the dancer that she is today.
